Xinja tales: Joel

We like to understand what really makes our customers tick. Often they tell us their stories, which can be quirky and unexpected. We thought it would be fun to share. Introducing the fabulous Joel.

“Something we have not seen before. Something we don’t even know is possible with banking life.” – Joel

Write a xinja profile, like a tinder profile or back story 😉 in 500 characters or less

I like my banking like I like my morning coffee. Quick, efficient, punchy and makes me do amazing things with a person smiling at me! Being in a relationship since before tinder days I have never written a cheesy bio! But my instagram will tell you, fabulous people don’t need bios.

Tell us something unexpected about you?

I’m a fashionista however I hate shopping. The faster the experience is over and done with the better. Online. Ideal.

In one sentence, how would you describe your relationship with money?

Money should be in your head, not in your heart but then next week I would be like YOLO!

Confession time: what do you waste money on?

Uber. I live 10 minutes from the city on a bus.

Halo time: what’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?

Travel & noise cancelling headphones!

How did you find out about xinja? Why did you choose xinja?

A old gym friend who turned gin cocktail friend started working there 🙂

If sky’s the limit, what would xinja create?

Banking technology that is 2019. A truly new age experience. Something we have not seen before. Something we don’t even know is possible with banking life. I loathe any experience from my current bank because the most common answer to a question would be “our systems are from the 1950s and can’t do that.”

Personalisation matters to us. What are little touches that would make your day?

Cards that can be personalised, maybe with emojis & colours.
